Copenhagen customer service platform with built-in phone, chat, email and the Mim AI agent
Review by EuropeanStack EditorialUpdated Verified
Dixa is a well-executed omnichannel platform, and the native phone support and flat AI pricing are real advantages over Zendesk-style stacks. The risks sit around the company. Headcount fell from 233 to 140 in two years, the group lost USD 12.0 million in 2024 with slightly negative equity at year end, and a Danish tax dispute over R&D credits is unresolved. The CEO changed in August 2025, when Christian Lohmann succeeded founder Mads Fosselius, who returned as board chair in July 2026. None of this is fatal, and the company has a EUR 20 million credit facility. Ask for current financials before committing.

Dixa says an equivalent Zendesk stack (Suite Team plus Contact Center and Copilot add-ons) costs €165 per seat before AI and voice usage. Its pricing page, based on Zendesk prices as of 30 June 2026, cites €128 for Dixa's own comparable setup without itemising it, so rebuild the comparison with your own quote. At heart, Dixa is a Copenhagen customer service platform that combines helpdesk and contact center in one seat price, plus a metered AI agent.
Dixa ApS (CVR 36561009) was founded in March 2015 and has its registered office in Copenhagen S. It targets consumer brands, with a particular focus on ecommerce, where phone, chat, email and social conversations arrive together. A single agent workspace, Team Hub, handles all of them with intelligent routing.
Ownership is straightforward but needs reading carefully. Dixa ApS is the parent of the group, and Dixa Inc. in the United States is a 100% subsidiary. Per the Danish register, General Atlantic DX B.V. holds the largest stake at the 20 to 24.99% voting band, since July 2021. Founder Mads Fosselius, SEED Capital Denmark and Project A Ventures each hold about 10%, and Notion Capital holds about 5%. No one owns a majority, so we classify Dixa as independent, not as a US-controlled company.
Funding totals roughly $158 million according to the company, including a $105 million Series C led by General Atlantic in 2021. That is why we record the funding stage as Series C or later. Headcount has since shrunk. The 2024 annual report shows a group average of 233 employees in 2022, 164 in 2023 and 140 in 2024, so we use the 51-200 band.
Phone, email, chat, contact forms, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and SMS are native in every plan. IVR, call recording, callback and voicemail are included from the entry tier. This is Dixa's main point of difference from Freshdesk or Zendesk, where voice often means a separate product or add-on. If your team handles many calls, the bundle matters.
Intelligent routing assigns conversations by queue, workload and, on the Ultimate plan, skills. A flow editor builds automation, and Ultimate adds routing with external data and knowledge-centered service. SLA tracking, business hours and service level alerts sit in every plan. These are enterprise-grade controls at a mid-market price point, though the €89 seat is not cheap.
Mim is Dixa's AI agent, available on every plan at €0.40 per conversation, updated July 2026. Dixa contrasts this with per-resolution pricing, where its own comparison table cites Intercom's Fin at $0.99 and Zendesk at $1.50 to $2.00 per AI resolution. Those competitor figures come from Dixa's page, not from us. The structural point holds: per-conversation billing means you pay even when the AI hands off to a human. At high volume, that can still add up.
Real-time and historical analytics come in every plan. Advanced Insights is included only in Prime and is an add-on elsewhere. Quality Assurance, with optional AI Auto QA, is an add-on on every plan. The AI Co-Pilot, which drafts replies, summarises and translates, is also an add-on. A fully loaded seat therefore costs well beyond the headline price.
Dixa lists native connections to Shopify and Klaviyo, plus Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Magento, WooCommerce and Braze. The entry plan says "35+ integrations". Custom integrations use Dixa's open API and webhooks. The marketplace is smaller than Zendesk's or Intercom's, so check for your specific tools.
Dixa shows three plans per agent per month. The pricing page defaults to annual billing, and the HTML shows both rates:
The "Save 20%" label on the annual toggle matches the gap between those columns. Mim costs a separate €0.40 per conversation. Co-Pilot, Quality Assurance, voice transcription, SSO below Prime and seasonal agents are add-ons.
There is no free plan and no self-serve trial. Dixa describes every rollout as guided, with a dedicated success manager, and says most teams go live in two to four weeks. That works for a 30-agent team and shuts out a founder who wants to test the tool on a Saturday. Price-sensitive teams should compare Trengo or Userlike in our customer support category.
Dixa ApS is the default contracting party under its terms of service, governed by Danish law with Copenhagen courts. If an order form is signed with Dixa Inc., Delaware law applies instead, so check which entity appears on your contract.
The data security page states that customer data is stored on Amazon servers in Ireland, with a daily backup in another European location. Its privacy policy adds that EU customers' databases are hosted in the EU datacenter, but that data may be transferred to the United States for storage and processing by service providers. Non-EU providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses. Dixa's trust center is published through Vanta, and we could not read it to confirm specific certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2. Ask for those reports directly.
Auto redaction, which removes sensitive data from conversations, is limited to the Prime plan. Teams in regulated sectors should budget for the top tier.
Mid-sized ecommerce and consumer brands with phone, chat and social volume. If you currently stack a helpdesk, a phone tool and an AI add-on, Dixa's bundle can cut cost and tools.
European teams that want a Danish contracting party and EU data storage, with eyes open about AWS and US sub-processors.
Companies replacing per-resolution AI pricing with predictable per-conversation fees.
Not ideal for small teams, since pricing is demo-led and starts at €89 a seat. If budget is tight, look at Zammad or LiveAgent. Buyers who need a vendor with a long financial track record should also read the next section. For the wider market, see our customer support category.

On annual billing, Growth costs €89, Ultimate €139 and Prime €179 per agent per month. Monthly billing costs €109, €169 and €215. The Mim AI agent is a separate €0.40 per conversation. Co-Pilot, Quality Assurance and voice transcription are add-ons. There is no free plan or self-serve trial.

Treat this as a diligence item. The 2024 annual report shows group headcount falling from 233 to 140 between 2022 and 2024, and a net loss of USD 12.0M with slightly negative group equity. Management guided to a smaller 2025 loss. Dixa also holds a EUR 20M credit facility and raised a USD 105M Series C in 2021. Ask for current financials before signing a multi-year contract.
Per seat, Dixa costs more, but it includes phone and contact center features that Zendesk sells as an add-on.
